CONSULTING PHILOSOPHY

 PERSONALIZATION, EVENT-SPECIFIC DATA ACQUISITION, AND TECH FORWARDNESS

Sportsimpacts.net

While "calculators" may provide convenience and cost-effectiveness for users, they generally lack the ability to provide in-depth accurate event-specific and visitor-specific insights which are only possible through survey research.

Furthermore, an experienced consultant who is wise to recent industry trends in analytics has greater flexibility and awareness to not only produce traditional economic and fiscal impacts estimate but also can offer insights on new performance indicators (e.g. earned media, social media, volunteerism) which are increasingly becoming valuable aspects of the overall impacts - both financial and holistic - associated with hosting sporting events.

At Sportsimpacts, buoyed by both 20+ years of client experience, our expertise (Dr. Rishe holds a PhD in Economics with a specialization in Urban and Regional Economics) and our industry connectivity with industry partners in the analytics space for media valuation and social media metrics, it is our philosophy that the usage of survey research and technology in analytics are a MUST in order to give clients a combination of personalized attention, accuracy, and technological proficiency.

We also believe in being closely engaged with our customers during a project.  Which is why we never take on more than 2 projects at a time.  We are not a factory mill or an assembly line just pushing out reports to pad the bottom line without regard for the quality of the end product.  We have great empathy and passion for helping your organization uncover new insights.  It is a mission we stand for and will not compromise on, which is why we are so deliberate in managing our own client load.

SERVICES OFFERED

* Economic and Fiscal Impact studies

           Can be for a single event or a package of events.

           Can be done in advance of an event, retroactively,             or at the time of the event (which lends itself                     best to the act of on-site customer surveying).

           Unlike "calculators", we can conduct market                       research surveys which will provide more                             accurate results and more nuanced qualitative                   data which is event-specific and fan-specific.

           Unlike "calculators", we can look at newer key                     performance indicators such as earned media,                   value driven by social media mentions,                                 volunteerism, and more.  There may be additional             charges if our tech vendors have to charge us for               added layers of information.

* Feasibility studies

Where our 2-phase approach includes an in-depth market research of the region, the state of the local and regional economy, a review of growth trends in interest, and a cost-benefit analysis or economic impact analysis of proceeding with a project.

Our market research typically includes phone interviews along with survey research.

Our economic research typically includes the usage of IMPLAN multiplier data which does a far better job of tracking the true flow of money and retained spending than do "calculators".

* Expert Witness Testimony

Where we engage in research and then provide testimony which relies on our industry experience and research insights to testify in court on behalf of clients.
